One could say that he or she is tired of the aesthetic views of nature; however seeing it is another thing.

You’ll surely eat your words once you’ve taken a glimpse of what you believe to be recurring offers of nature, and what better place to prove this point than Alberta, Canada?

LOCATION

Alberta is one of the few landlocked provinces of Canada. It was located in the western part bounded by the US State Montana to the South and Northwest Territories to the North. It was located in between Saskatchewan (east) and British Columbia (west).

It covers a total area of 255,541 square miles ranking as the fourth largest province. Its bodies of water occupy three percent of the area.

CLIMATE

Alberta enjoys four distinct seasons. Summer daytime average range of tempeartures is from 20 to 25 degrees Celsius; however, it sometimes reaches up to mid to upper 30 degrees Celsius.

The winter months winter months are from January to February with an average nighttime temperature from -15 to -25 degrees Celsius at night and -5 to -15 during the day; however, there are times that temperature can drop as low as to -30 to -40 degrees Celsius at short periods of time. 

Despite the cold climate, Alberta enjoys lots of sunshine even during the winter season.

TRANSPORTATION

One can go to Alberta through the Calgary International Airport, which is 291 miles away. Greyhound Canada is one of the bus services that travel through Alberta, which has a price range of $81 to $214 depending on how far the place is. Moose Travel Network is another bus service that go in trips through Western Canada that hits Alberta must-sees. It starts and ends at Vancouver.

There are available trains, too, in going to Alberta. It runs thrice weekly with fares that ranges from $225 (Edmonton to Vancouver) to $405 (Edmonton to Toronto).

Alberta has well-maintained networks of roads and highways, so perusing the province will not be a problem as long as your gas tanks are filled.

The Canadian Rockies will not only sate your eyes with its snow-capped mountain ranges that overlook the turquoise water of Peyton Lake. It will also quench your thirst to adventures.

Summer would be the time for hiking the endless trails or rafting through the turquoise lake. On the other hand, winters don’t mean staying at home. It could be the time for ice climbing, skiing, or simply touring around the snow-hugged canyons.

They also offer an all-year round authentic mountain lodges with gourmet viands you can sample that are local to the place.

Jasper National Park is a part of the Canadian Rockies located in Athabasca River. It offers world-class 18-hole layout golf course, fishing, long alpine to short ice routes for ice climbing, hiking and walking through natural trails of rugged terrains, rock climbing, and to experiencing the exhilarating ride of Jasper Skytram with an uninterrupted view of the landscape.

Banff National Park

Banff is another national park in the Canadian Rockies. It is best for its Summer Arts Festival that features various events from international to local artists. Get acquainted with different lakes here such as the Lake Louise and Lake Minnewanka.

You can also enjoy Banff’s luxurious hot springs and hotels. It also offers the adventure staples such as cruising, wildlife viewing, golfing, and other ice-related adventures.

These myriads of fantastic sights and adventures are just a glimpse on what you will experience once you actually peruse different parks and cities here in Alberta.
