Take Round on Lithuania’s National Parks

Lithuania may not be the top destination and is scarcely seen on lists of the best travel spots to be at (yet) but this secret gem has its own treats to offer especially for those who are nature savvy.

With the abundance of classical plays and operas played here and there, colorful culture that hints the country’s regal taste and not to mention wealthy nature, expect to be surrounded by the splendid sights to behold.

Climate

Hailed as the land of plains, rivers and lakes, Lithuania can be found in the southernmost side of Baltic states. Vinius as its capital.

Being able to experience seasons of autumn, winter, spring and summer, Lithuania is blessed to have a change of façade whenever a period changes one after the other.

Transportation

Lithuania can be reached by foreign visitors by plane commonly by Vilnius International Airport. It is best though to travel via Riga Airport for destinations in Northern Lithuania.

The country is part of the Schengen Zone, an agreement by some European countries that says no border controls will be applied between members. Train connections to Daugavpils, Warsaw, Poland and Saint Petersburg are available. Bus rides can also be a travel option.

Part of UNESCO Heritage list, this 98 kilometer narrow peninsula in between Baltic Sea and Curanian Lagoon houses typical and rare flora and fauna species that are vital for the region’s bio diversity.

Clean and uncrowded beaches can be found in the heart of this silent sanctuary, which is a good deal, especially for those who seek silence from the buzz of the modern time.

Trakai Historical National Park

Even though considered as the smallest amongst Lithuania’s list of national parks, Trakai Castle formation is equally exceptional as it translates how a fairytale into breathing life.

Zemaitija National Park

Covering an area of some 55, 000 hectares, Dzujika is the largest protected area in all Lithuania.
Being in the place is like handshaking with Mother Nature up close because it serves as a residence to deep valley rivulets, rivers, lakes, dunes, plains and vast marshes.
