Location
Delft is a city in the central west of Netherlands.
This is more than just of a university city because the place is a cradle for different tourist spots that speaks for the way of living and the type of culture people residing in this area has.
The city lies in the north of Rotterdam and to the south of Hague.
Climate
Weather in this city can be categorized between temperate, cold and rainy. It is said that August is the city’s warmest month while January is the coolest month.
Good thing about the place is that it does not suffer from severe hot or cold temperature. As a matter of fact, Delft only has two major seasons – cool summer and mild winter.
Transportation
Getting in to the city has various ways. By airplane, it can be accessed via Amsterdam Airport School or Rotterdam Hague Airport.
There are also trains that run from Hollands Spoor, Schipol Airport, Amsterdam and Rotterdam.
Buses are also available from Den Haag and Rotterdam at the Delft bus terminal.

Attractions
Delft Pottery
The place was popular with white and blue pottery which is a cheap version of china porcelain. The craft started in 17th century. It had been one of the major producers of earthenware in Europe during the early times.

Royal Tomb
This serves as resting place for the royal bloodline. This is where the first King Willem of house of Orange and his other descendants were buried.
Just take note that since the place is private, taking photos is being prohibited.

Markt Square
This is considered to be one of the largest market in Europe covering around50 x 120 yards. There are two key features in this place. First is large compass and the statue of Grotius.
Grotius is considered as father of law. His statue serves as a remembrance of the contributions he has given in the field of politics and religious thoughts.

Oostpoort
This is the last surviving medieval entranceway amongst the five that were built during the ancient times.
This was built in 1400’s and is now a tourist attraction not only by its structure but also with the paintings that can be found in the insides of it.
