Location
Yerevan is the capital of Armenia. It’s pronounced as such since 1918 and covers an approximate area of 86 sq mi. The place is situated on the edge of Hrazdan River and north of Ararat plains.
What makes the city unique is the mountains surrounding its upper part.

Climate
Koppen climate classification tagged Yerevan’s climate as Steppe. Summertime is mostly very hot with the average temperature of 40 degrees Celsius. June serves as the start mark of summer.
While a hot temperature should be expected, it is also advisable to see the beauty of the place during this season because of the convenience of the dry weather.
Another perfect time to visit the city is during spring, which occurs during March. Fall on the other hand happens between October to November.

Transportation
From the west of the city center found the Zvartnots International Airport. Another accessible airport from the city is Erebuni Airport. The city can also be reached through bus.
Yerevan has 46 bus lines so tourists will not get short of buses, especially since this is one of the most used modes of transportation in Yerevan.

Attractions
Mother Armenia
This is a monument located in Victory Park that overlooks the city. It was sculpted by artist Ara Harutyunyan in 1950.
The statue is 23 – meter high and represents a woman warrior holding a sword. It is said that this statue symbolizes Armenia at large.
The magnanimous pedestal has a military museum inside that shows World War II memorabilia.

Tatev Monastery
This beautiful architecture lies amidst the luscious greenery and captivating nature. The road going to this scenic spot is a destination itself.
The medieval monastery has gone through several episodes of restoration and is now one of the most must-see spot in Armenia.

Cascade Complex
The giant staircase was founded in 1970’s. The astounding architecture serves as the center of relaxation for both tourists and locals.
The impressive landscape also added the appeal of this place.
Huge numbers of visitors are in great awe that’s why never runs out of people who definitely appreciates its peaceful surroundings.
