Frankfurt is the largest city in the German Hesse. It is the most famous business and financial Center in the country of Germany. The city is well known for its futuristic architectural designs and skyline.

It’s also the transportation center of Germany. Frankfurt is home of the European Central Bank and the German Stock Exchange. And in additional to that, it also hosts some of the world’s most famous and important trade shows in the world that includes the Frankfurt Auto Show and the Frankfurt Book Fair.

Frankfurt is located in the southwestern part of the city of Germany. The both sides of this city are the Main River of the southeastern part and the Taunus mountain range on the other side.

The Frankfurt City Forest is located in the southern part of the city that has the largest forest area in Germany with the area of 248. Km that can even extend to over 23.4 km in east-west direction and 23.3 km in the north and south part direction.

On the other hand, the downtown area of Frankfurt is located on the north side of the Main River in the city district of Altstadt which is a historical center that surrounds the Innenstadt district.

Frankfurt has a continental climate that has cold winters and warm summers, it also experiences moderate amount of rainfall throughout the year.

The best month to visit Frankfurt is during the months of June, July, August and September because it has a nice average temperature that is good for walking and exploring the country.

The warmest month would be in July while the coolest month is in January. The wettest month is in August and the driest month would be during February.

Frankfurt Airport is one of the busiest in Europe and the ninth busiest airport in the world.

Frankfurt is the banking center of Germany and that hosts numerous international trade fairs that is why all major airlines and all airline alliances fly regularly to Frankfurt and connect it to every continent and major cities around the world.

The German flag carrier Lufthansa is the main airline in Frankfurt and offers the best connections and flight all over the world.

The Römerberg – Frankfurt’s Old Town Center

This old town center has an unevenly shaped square with a famous Fountain located in the center.
It is not just only in Frankfurt’s most picturesque public square, it is also the city’s busiest pedestrian zone, where is the home to numerous tourist attractions.

It has an old town that shows a complex of lovely old buildings from the 15th to 18th centuries that include the Old Town Hall or the Altes Rathaus with its Imperial Hall.

Senckenberg Natural History Museum

This is one of the most modern museums of natural history in Europe, and the second largest in Germany. It showcases numerous displays relating to the planet’s biodiversity and the evolution of organisms.

This museum is also Europe’s biggest exhibition of large dinosaurs with a number of life-size replica dinosaurs that is very famous for kids. It is also the home to the world’s largest collection of stuffed birds.

The Old Opera House

It is located in the heart of Frankfurt’s Opera Square. It was constructed in 1880 in the style of the Italian High Renaissance.

Although it was destroyed during WWII, it was reopened and re-established in 1981, it remains one of the city’s most important concert venues.

St. Bartholomew’s Cathedral

This Roman Catholic Cathedral is built with sandstone in Gothic style between the 13th and 15th centuries. With all the city’s skyscrapers, it still manages to stand out.

It is one of only a handful of churches in Germany to be designated as an Imperial Cathedral. The tourist attractions of this cathedral are the grave-slab of King Günter von Schwarzburg, as well as the carved design side altars that were made from the 15th and 16th centuries. The cathedral also holds its most important relic, the skullcap of St. Bartholomew.
