The city was once regarded as one of the world’s 100 most beautiful places by National Geographic. Cannon Beach is a city in Clatsop County in the state of Oregon, United States and can be found in the Pacific Northwest Coast of Oregon.

Its popularity is derived mainly from the scenic natural views that surround it. Aside from the beautiful beaches, there are also luscious forests and rivers that complete the whole Cannon Beach vibe.

Warm and temperate, Cannon Beach’s climate experiences the most rainfall during winter and little to almost no rain during summer.

Average precipitation per annum is 2035 mm. The highest temperature occurs every August while January is known the coldest. The wettest month is December while the driest is July.

The city can be reached via land by getting into three highways – 101, 26 and 30. Air travelers can also book a flight to Portland International Airport.

From here, it takes an hour and a half to go to the city then transfer Highway 26 or 30 in order to get to Cannon Beach. For those who commute, travelers can take a shuttle found just outside the airport.

This is the flagship attraction of Cannon Beach. Ranked as third biggest monolith in the world, Haystack Rock is a sight to behold, but it is a protected area as it is a habitat for several sea creatures including starfish, crabs and sea birds.

Bird enthusiasts can also find their place here as it also serves as a haven for different species of birds the whole year round.

Ecola State Park

Those who want to go nature tripping will definitely enjoy coming here. Aside from the beautiful scenery of the coasts, people who visit Ecola State Park can also enjoy hiking and camping.

If constant moving gets tiring, travelers can rest and go for a picnic while viewing the most of the beautiful sights surrounding the area.
