Familiar with Idaho on Frank Ocean’s well known song “Thinking about you?” Did you know that Idaho is the 14th largest and 39th most populated state in The United States of America, It is also known as the Gem State because there are many types of gemstones that has discovered here, almost 72 types of precious and semi-precious stones.
Some of these stones can be found nowhere else in the world, and it is also called the Potato State of America because it owns a wide and large of potato that they distribute not just in their neighboring state in America but also around the world.

This state is mountainous and has a larger area than all New England. This state showcases lots of natural and breathtaking scenery that is the best and well-known to the visitors and tourists.

Location

Idaho is one of the well know state in United States in America. It is located and borders the Canadian province and 6 states.
British Columbia to its northern part, Montana and Wyoming to the eastern part, Utah and Nevada to the south, and to the western part is Washington and Oregon.
Climate

Idaho has a diverse climate. It is patterned and influenced by the Pacific Ocean, specifically in the northern Idaho that receives more rain while the southern part of Idaho has a warmer summer temperatures and drier, while the mountainous areas can experience a long and very cold winters with heaps of snow. But overall the air in this state is dry and clear with just a little humidity.
The best time to visit Idaho is during the late spring on the months of May to June) and early autumn in the months of the late August and September.
Transportation

The major airport in Idaho is the Boise Airport it caters the southwestern part of the state, it has lots of flights available from the major cities in the United States in America most especially in the western part of the country, like in Chicago and Minneapolis, while the Spokane International Airport which is located in Spoken, Washington serves the Northern region of Idaho.
While the North and West central of Idaho is being served by the Lewiston-Nez Perce County Airport. There are also other airports like Idaho Falls Regional Airport for the eastern part of the state and the Friedman Memorial Airport which is the seasonal tourist base hub.
What to See
Craters of the Moon National Monument and Preserve

It is known as the “weird and scenic landscape” of Idaho. It has 750,000 acre that has a unique volcanic features with it vast lava field. This monument contains a varied volcanic features collection that includes, shield volcanoes, volcanic riffs, cinder and spatter cones and lava tubes.
There is also a number of plants and surprisingly animals who got used to live and adapt in the harsh volcanic and high deserted environment of the monument.
This place is excellent site for hiking, bird watching, photography, backpacking and caving good for the whole family.
Shoshone Falls

This fall is one of the best and well known tourist attraction in Idaho because of its spectacular and natural beauty along the Snake River. This famous fall of Idaho is even higher than Niagara Falls. It is best to visit this place for a better view during the spring and early summer of the state.
The view of Shoshone Falls remains amazing all throughout the year. It also offers a perfect and unique mixture of entertaining and different facilities like playgrounds for kids and hiking trails for the adventurous ones, picnic areas, a boat ramp and swimming area, and a scenic overlook of the fall that is perfect for the whole family.
Boise River Greenbelt

The Boise River Greenbelt is over 850 acres that includes natural areas and part. It also has a 25 mile long pedestrian and bicycle path that is in favor for the bikers.
The visitors and tourists who visit this river will experience the wildlife and see adorable ducks, songbirds, Canadian Geese, great blue heron and bald eagles during the winter.
