Banking on its charming medieval aura, the small town of Kitzbuhel has gone far beyond what it was in the 16th century.

Sports enthusiasts, specifically those who have strong affinities with snow and skiing would definitely have Kitzbuhel on their vacation list.

Now slowly becoming renowned as one of the skiing capitals of Austria, it will eventually conquer the continent where it belongs.

Marvel at the snow-capped house roofs, the nearby slopes of the well celebrated Kitzbuheler Horn and the ironically warm welcome of its locals despite the frigid general climate.

Come, behold the wonders of Kitzbuhel and never regret to have visited this tourist destination worthy of your time, effort and fortune.

(5)

Kitzbuhel is within the territory of a bigger state called Tyrol in the historical country of Austria. Surrounding the town is the huge Kitzbuheler Ache River, with its middle area restricted to travel by car and other modes of transportation.

The small city of Kitzbuhel is home to numerous hot spots such as cafeterias, famous retail shops and residential developments. Kitzbuhel is slightly elevated from the rest of other Austrian towns at an estimated 762 meters above sea level.

The total land area of Kitzbuhel is at 22.40 square miles and the whole city is divided into different sub-municipalities namely Am Horn, Seereith, Sonnenhoffeld, Staudach, Obernau, Felseneck and many others.

Climate

Temperatures in Kitzbuhel have always been low. Due to the fact that its position is on the colder side of Austria, the city experiences generally milder climate with stress on being frigid.

All year long, there is observable rainfall even in the driest months. According to the Koppen Climate Classification, the average temperature in Kitzbuhel is at 7.3-degrees Celsius.

kitzclimate
(6)

Rainfall occurs mostly during the months of June until August with an average of 140 millimeters in accumulated precipitation.

The driest month of all is in February, which also receives the least amount of rainfall. Ironically, June is said to be the warmest month of all with the highest temperature at 16.9-degrees Celsius.

The coldest temperature during the whole year is observed in January at -3.2-degrees Celsius.

Transportation

(7)

When traveling to Kitzbuhel, one of the major roads to use is Brixental Road. Buses that travel to the cities of Lienz and Worgl have Kitzbuhel as part of their stops along the trip.

If you want to be more in touch with public transportation, the Salzburg-Tyrol Railway is the best bet a traveler can take for train rides.

On railway, the key stations to keep in mind are Hauptbahnof, Hahnenkamm and Schwarzsee.

What to See

Alpine Flower Garden

Aside from the fact that a cable car experience must be furnished before getting into the fantastic spot called the Alpine Flower Garden, visitors are in for a sweet treat once the destination is reached.
Roughly 14 kilometers away when hiked, or just a swift cable car extravaganza, people would surely be mesmerized by this quiet expanse of a garden atop the mountains.

Some of the flora that are said to grow a bloom all year round in the Alpine Flower Garden include the Austrian national flower edelweiss, purplish bellflowers and arnica, together with 400 other alpine plants.

Museum Kitzbuhel

(9)

One unknown fact about Kitzbuhel is that this town is a major copper and the metal mining area where Austria harnesses most of its produce.

In the Museum Kitzbuhel, people will have the opportunity to witness how the city progressed from the place it once was during the Bronze Age until the feisty sports-induced town that it is today.

Many of the artifacts that can be found within this artsy point of interest include skiing gear with high emphasis on skiing champion Toni Sailer.

Pfarrkirche St. Andreas

standreas
(10)

Of the many sights of worship scattered all over Kitzbuhel, one of the most resounding is that of the Pfarrkirche St. Andreas.

Located above the icy town, this chapel boasts of architectural design from Gothic and Baroque styles, evident in its noticeable facade and the intrinsic detail found within its walls.

The identifying feat of this church is that of its impressive, steep and wind-shingled roof, maintained since its erection during the Olden Times.

Enjoy wholly in Split

Split

(1)Split

Get a dose of complete pleasure while visiting the beaming destination that harmoniously combines the young, modern vibe and the fancy past found in this beautiful city.

The mix of modern structures in the form of bars and restaurants situated just within the radius of some of Split’s historic sites is a great representation of how this city copes well with the progress of time while not ignoring the importance of looking back.

Location

Carte de la ville de Split en Croatie
(2)Split maps

The city has a longstanding history due to the early rise of civilization that flourished in this place.

The beautiful destination is situated on the eastern shore of the Adriatic Sea, and is considered as the largest city in the Dalmatia region.

Not only it is huge, but it is also considered as the oldest city with an estimated foundation date in 305 CE. The city itself measures 22. 12 square kilometers and has an estimated population of around 180,000.

Climate

Marmont street leads to the sea and was the western boundary of the Venetian town. Wide and adorned with elegant residences, the street is named after the general who decided the town was safe enough to destroy the Venetian walls. Once removed, parks and esplanades such as this sprung up and opened Split to its glimmering seascape. This vision was that of Auguste Frédéric Louis Viesse de Marmont, Napoleon's aide-de-camp and most stalwart supporter/traitor. Dubrovnik invited the French to help defend their city against the Russian fleet -- but they stayed and Marmont became Duke of Ragusa. Viewed with disdain by the French, Marmont is well remembered in Dalmatia for being a good governor and for creating public works such as this street. (You may recall that about this time, Paris was tearing down its city walls and creating those lovely boulevards. "Boulevard," of course, is the French word for bastion.) With its lack of cars and sea views, Rue Marmont is easily as pleasant as most Parisian streets.
(3)Split on a sunny day

Split’s climate borders between humid subtropical and Mediterranean. Those who want to experience the allure of this place can ideally travel between the months of May until September because these months have nice average climate.

The downpour of rain usually occurs from October to December. While the charm of the city is undeniable, those who want to travel to the area should stay away from the said months in order to avoid the hassle of the wet surroundings.

Transportation

The city can be reached through other major cities in Europe. Unlike other destinations though, airports that offer direct flights to Split do not schedule daily trips for the city.

The good thing about going to Split though, is that most airports situated in key cities in Europe offer flights to and from the place, which is why reaching the place isn’t too much of a hassle.

Those coming from Italy can resort to a ferry ride while buses and trains are also available from Munich and Zagreb.

Keeping Track of the Past in Aswan

aswanmain(1)

aswanst night
(2)

Despite the constant development that the whole of Egypt is succumbing into, one little town called Aswan is not as frenetic as the rest to put everything in a hastened pace. Drawing inspiration from how it was before as a commercial center, Aswan have decided to take a break from all the hassles and bustles of eager forwards and stay within the confines of idle and comfort.

Whilst Aswan might not be as advanced as other cities, they thrive into giving you a laid-back vibe, which is quite unusual for an Egyptian city, and the town would make you feel floating in mid-air with all the slowed movements happening around.

Aswanhotel
(3)

The history that this town beholds is just magical that making them live their old ways is never at all regrettable.

Rebel on huge granite boulders and find joy in the town’s Nubian-pegged roofs, hear the calming flow of the humongous Nile River rumbling from a distance and be comforted by the fact that Aswan is just off-the-charts for plethora of tourists taking every inch of available space.

Location

aswanmap
(4)

Aswan is technically connected to the infamous Nile River, which is just 0.64 kilometers away.

Specifically, the town is located on Egypt’s southern tip and is just a quick north from Aswan Dams.

Currently, the city had stretched its land scope up to the small isle of Elephantine and is being inhabited by a total of 290,327 persons as of 2012. The town is also slightly elevated at 636 feet above sea level.

Climate

aswanclimate
(5)

Much just like the rest of Egypt, Aswan is classified to be experiencing a dry desert climate as according to the Koppen Climate Classification. Tied with Luxor, Aswan is dubbed to have the driest and most scorching summer episodes within the whole city in an annual scale. Temperatures in Aswan is normally above the 40-degree Celsius range with 49.5-degrees Celsius as the peak temperature to be recorded.

When the sun is not at its zenith, temperatures drop to its lowest at 8.7-degrees Celsius and normally happen during the month of January. While it is an accepted fact that weather in Aswan is predominantly hot, the town’s sunshine hours are also at its best harnessing a grand total of 3,862 hours of sunshine all throughout the year.

Rainy days can be found during the months of August and September but not registering a high amount of accumulated precipitation and can just get a miniscule amount of 1.4 millimeters per year.

Transportation

aswantranspo
(6)

If getting in and out via air travel, tourists and locals can succumb to the offering of the Aswan International Airport located at the town’s southern area. In here, people can get scheduled flights to nearby cities and regions, as well as international flights to selected countries from all over the planet.

Due to the fact that Aswan is known to be a bit huge as compared to other Egyptian cities, public and mass transportation is of huge importance to everyone living here. Bus systems and train lines are well placed all over town, providing their visitors a more convenient method of getting to one place to another.

Luckily, taxi and rickshaw are of the same essence as these are readily available within the city if you want to basically roam around from one landmark to the other. There are also two public ferries situated around town to give you a full-blast access to water passageways going to the Aswan Museum, Siou, West Aswan and the legendary Tombs of Nobles.

What to See

Tombs of the Nobles

tombs
(7)

The much celebrated and well-revered Tombs of the Nobles might actually scare you away, but we’re telling you, this shouldn’t. Aswan takes pride to this legendary landmark and treated this as one of the most taken care of destination in the whole of Egypt.

In here, you’d be able to see tombs of people who have made an impact to all Egyptian history and are dated as far back as the Old and Middle Kingdom epoch.

Unfinished Obelisk

obelisk
(8)

Aside from the Tombs of the Nobles, Aswan also owns the so-called Unfinished Obelisk, which can raise your eyebrows due to its very name. This towering creation of impeccable architecture is actually an avenue of history and archaeology due to its specific eye for detail.

Technically, this obelisk has been left abandoned by those who erected it and yet, the very anti-climatic characteristic of the rock made it perfect in the eyes of tourists and experts alike.

Aswan Botanical Gardens

garden
(7)

Located on Elephantine’s west bank, the Aswan Botanical Gardens is a haven for those who value flora and fauna in inexplicable level. In here, you’d be immersed in an extensive array of plants and palms, flowers and other stunning botanical elements scoping a total land area of 6.8 hectares.

Locals, normally in groups, crowd the area with their makeshift picnic spots that definitely would be an opportunity for you to roam around and see how Aswan people go about their lives.

The Continuous Rise of La Libertad to Travel Fame

lalib1

(1)

After being stained from the advent of drug abuse and other petty crimes, many have thought that El Salvador’s La Libertad won’t be able to bounce back.

But after the relentless help of the government and the resiliency found in the locals of this municipality, the beautiful port area of La Libertad is now slowly climbing back to being one of the country’s prime travel destinations.

Now that security is bound and locked, more and more tourists are now trying their luck to feel the cheery vibe and alluring dazzle of the beach when sunlight touches it.

lalib2
(2)

lalib3
(3)

With hard work and cooperation from everybody, tourists can now visit this place without any worries—be entitled to sit on newly-opened cafeterias, bountiful restaurants with the freshest produce and be scalded by the sun’s rays as you stay outside for unlimited swimming.

La Libertad, considering its sensitive past, is now stronger and far more gorgeous, waiting for everyone to come and enjoy its surreal characteristics for summer vacation

lalib4
(4)

Location

lalib5
(5)

Covering a total land area of 638.2 square miles including the general urban vicinity, La Libertad is now home to a whopping population of 747,662 citizens and is subdivided into 22 separate municipalities.

Facing the glorious sea, La Libertad is located in the northeast side of El Salvador and is slightly elevated from the rest of the country at 30 meters above sea level.

Climate

lalib6
(6)

One of the many reasons why La Libertad is such a haven for sea addicts is due to the fact that it’s under the desert climate class, according to Koppen.

This simply means that throughout the whole the year, the chance of experiencing rainfall is slim to none.

The months of February and March are deemed to be the hottest, recording a temperature of 27-28-degrees Celsius.

On the other hand, August is said to be the coolest month of all with a median temperature of 22.1-degrees Celsius. This can be lower depending on how much heat was lost during the summer season.

Ironically, February is also considered to be the wettest month, accumulating 51 millimeters of rainfall if there would be instances of showers. The annual measurement of La Libertad’s average temperature is at 24.2-degrees Celsius, just enough for a pleasurable swim at the beach.

Transportation

lalib7
(7)

Technically, there’s no way for you to enter La Libertad directly from any domestic or international flights. Just like any beachfront municipalities, every tourist would start their journey at El Salvador’s main international airport and take it from there.

From the airport, there are many taxis that you can hire, but it is suggested that you go for scheduled van trips and coast shuttles to La Libertad to avoid a hefty fee.

If you want to save money, you can ride the public buses en route to the municipality, but you must ensure that you’re prepped for a long trip that is only available during day time. Take note of specific bus routes such as Trip 102, which will transport you to the nearest terminal to La Libertad.

Once inside the realms of this magical place, you can easily scan for travel spots and nearby places of interest just by merely walking, or by renting a bicycle if available.

What to See

Parque Nacional Walter T Deininger

lalib8
(8)

Spanning a humongous land area of 18 kilometers of trail, the Parque Nacional Walter T Deininger is a gem that’s perched within the realms of La Libertad.

Named after Walter Deininger, this wondrous feat of natural preservation is home to caducifolio and galeria, which are typically two different types of rain forests. Unleash the outdoor buff in you as you weave along towering flora and the Earth creaking beneath you as you walk.

Playa San Diego

lalib9
(9)

If you wish to embody a whole-day swimming extravaganza, then head straight to Playa San Diego and quench your thirst with one heck of an experience.

Playa San Diego is popular for its clear beaches and powdery shores together with the strings of restaurants that will feed you with plates of shrimps, live catch and hotel-style food.

Iglesia

lalib10
(10)

Known to be the only place of worship that can be found near the beach, Iglesia is something that you shouldn’t miss if you want to have a peaceful moment amid all the fun outside.

Though not decrepit, Iglesia somewhat resembles a normal home with a towering fence, and despite its simplistic facade, it is not hard to see as more tourists pay their respects to this home of faith and religion.

Cleanse and Be Fulfilled with Lalibela’s Quaint Ambience

lalibmain

(1)

Religion is a human concept that has gone beyond borders of reason and belief. It is something that most people lean on during the toughest and happiest times, and it is where some gain the power of life and security. Though such a controversial field of society to discuss and prod on, when one talks about it, respect and acceptance would definitely follow. If you want to be doused with all things religious, then get your travel list ready and jot down a town in Ethiopia called Lalibela.

Widely known to be a World Heritage Site, this small town is pegged on churches that have a very distinct rock-sculpted characteristic. No matter how grand it is in photos and tons of verbal stories, Lalibela is still better seen and felt first hand. Surprise yourself when you visit Lalibela and experience worship and relaxation at the same time through the locals’ hospitality and warm accommodation.

Location

lalibmap
(2)

Smack right in the heart of Ethiopia, Lalibela is located on the northern edge of the country. Specifically, Lalibela can be seen on the infamous Semien Wollo Zone of the Amhara Ethnic Division, and is a good 67 kilometers away from the country’s capital city.

Lalibela is slightly elevated than its neighboring cities and towns at an estimated 2,500 meters above sea level. Currently, Lalibela is home to a minuscule 14,668 residents and an ample amount of World Heritage sites, churches and other wondrous feats of nature and modern architecture.

Climate

lalibclimate
(3)

Due to its observable high elevation from the ground, Lalibela, according to the Koppen Climate Classification, experiences a warm steppe climate mixed in with strong winds and lower temperatures. Precipitation is not much of an event in this small town, and it normally just happens on the months of July and August.

Temperatures in Lalibela range from 24-29-degrees Celsius all year round. The lowest recorded temperature is at 9-degrees Celsius, which can be felt in the months of December and January.

Accumulated precipitation can go as high as 100 millimeters in afternoon rain, depending on the amount of rain hours, which are normally at 7-8. The hottest months are May and June.

Transportation

lalibairport
(4)

Luckily, Lalibela does have its very own aviation terminal, the Lalibela Airport, which can be very rigid at times due to the fact that they are always overbooked. Flights are catered by Ethiopian Airlines and are normally on a very strict schedule, so better make sure that you’d show up on your chosen time and date, or you’ll miss the chance of flying in and out at all.

The aforementioned airport is a good 30-minute taxi ride from Lalibela’s city center and cab rides are known to be hefty, so better be smart in paying up your fare. From the equally famous town of Addis Ababa, you can catch bus rides, which usually last for a two-day journey with stops at Dessie.

Once in Lalibela, getting around is never difficult as you can catch minibuses giving rides that would drop and pick you up in the town’s major points of interest. If you’re feeling frenetic, you can always walk around the city, which is actually not huge in terms of land area.

What to See

Rock-Hewn Churches

rockhewn
(5)

Known to be included on UNESCO World Heritage Site list, Lalibela’s Rock-Hewn Churches are now marking the city’s fame on several blog sites and travel books. This wondrous feat of architecture features well-defined churches that are said to be hewn straight from a huge boulder of rock and is amazing on its outside and inside structure.

A visit to the set of these rock-hewn churches would come with schedules and a fee, so better book in advance for you not to miss out on the chance.

Lalibela World Cultural Centre

cultural
(6)

A city won’t be complete without a museum, and so the Lalibela World Cultural Centre was crafted. This complex is home to a handful of Lalibela’s local art, which showcases the town’s historical background through a collection of painting, glass-enclosed artifacts and well-preserved items from the golden age.

This museum also works as a good exhibit site for Lalibela artists who want to put their creativity on display.

Bet Abba Libanos

betabba
(7)

Bet Abba Libanos is quite distinct from the rest of the Rock-Sculpted churches due to the fact that it’s a hypogenous place of worship.

This specific church boasts Aksumite architecture and looks grand and huge from the inside.
