The city possesses an oceanic climate. This means that the city has mild summers and cool winters. The rainy season covers the months of June, July and August.

Travelers should avoid visiting during the aforementioned months and consider February instead, since it is the driest month. July on the other hand is the warmest month while the city experiences its coolest temperatures every January.

The most common route to get into this city is via Zurich. Tourists from different countries can book a flight through its neighboring cities like Munich or Venice.

The major mode of transportation is through its railways. The nearest train station in the city would be the Schaan-Vaduz station wherein buses from countries like Austria pass through.

Attractions

This is the official residence of the Liechtenstein prince. Beautifully located on a hillside, the location is definitely fit for a royal as it oversees the whole area.

Originally built as a fortress during the 1280’s, the castle has undergone several renovations since then until it became a possession of the royal family back in 1732.

Vaduz Cathedral

The neo-gothic structure serves as the center of Roman Catholicism in the city. Also called the Cathedral of St. Florin, the typical parish church elevated its status to a cathedral in the year 1997.

The structure itself is magnificent, showing the medieval influence that resides in most structures found in the city.

Kunstmuseum

(7) Kunstmuseum

The museum shows varieties of contemporary art. Veering away from the normal ancient feel found in most of the city’s structures, this museum is a modern hub amid old buildings.

The museum was designed as a seemingly black cube that is totally eye catching, considering the way of how other structures are typically built in the city.
