The city has humid subtropical climate. The climate here is different from the majority of Italy. While most parts of the country have dry summers, this place experiences wetter summers compared to the winter season.
The warm season is from June to September while cold season starts in November and lasts till March.

Bergamo can be reached via air as it has its own airport. The city center can be reached from the airport by hailing a cab. There are also city buses that leave and arrive on schedule.
The city can also be reached from Milan by taking a train. There are also routes from cities like Lecco, Brescia, Verona and Venice.

Bergamo Cathedral

Dedicated to Saint Alexander of Bergamo, the cathedral was renovated during the 15th century. Formerly called the St. Vincent’s Cathedral, Bergamo cathedral’s original structure was demolished due to military reasons.
It was only in the late 1690’s that the cathedral was redesigned by Carlo Fontana. The interior and exterior shows the distinct renaissance style that’s accompanied by intricate details and keen designs.
Teatro Donizetti

This opera house has hosted some of the most important performances in the field of ballet and music. This beautiful architecture was designed by Giovanni Francesco Luchinni during the 1970s.
Standing proudly until the present age, the opera house serves as a reminder of the rich love and interest of the ancient times for live opera acts.
San Michele al Pozzo Bianco

Considered as one of the most important sites in Bergamo, San Michele al Pozzo Bianco is known for its Venetian Walls. The church may be small, but it is rich in architecture inspired by different era.
Masterpieces like frescoes and chapels can be seen on the inside, exhibiting the beauty of the ancient designs.
