Bonao is the capital of one of the Dominican Republic’s provinces, Monseñor Nouel. This city is situated at the heart of the country and is found in the northwestern part of the country capital, Santo Domingo.

Bonao approximately measures 664.37 square kilometers with an estimated population of around 75,000. The abundance of natural resources in the city is obvious as a nickel mine is found here.

Santo Domingo airport is the nearest airport in the city. Foreign tourists can get to the city and land at the said airport as a starting point. From here, hail a bus that will pass through Parque Enroquillo.

This is cheaper versus hailing a cab. You may even ask the driver to drop you off at the Espinal bus terminal. This terminal will bring you to Bonao within the hour.
