The Party Island: IBIZA

With astonishing beaches by day and the blazing nightclubs to head to once the sun goes down.
Ibiza is one of the five Balearic Islands off the Western coast of Spain – popularly known, of course, for its year-round sun, sea, sand and clubbing.

It is the third biggest of the Balearic Islands, an independent society of Spain. This is the third island in terms of surface after Mallorca and Minorca.

We’re talking about Ibiza, the place of the heinous war between Justin Bieber and Orlando Bloom over Miranda Kerr.

Well-known for it night activities, Ibiza is also an extraordinary island, with emeralds beaches, and an ever blue sky.

Brief History

The story of Ibiza starts in 1600 years before Jesus Christ, even though it is not sequentially referenced before the year 654 when Carthage developed Ibosim, now titled Eivissa, capital of the Island.

Over this season Ibiza transfers the label of Confederate City. The next five centuries are appointed “dark centuries” because of the few information left.

The island produced dye, salt, fish sauce (garum), and wool. Romans, Greeks, Moors, Phoenicians and Catalans all visited Ibiza: some came to trade and relax in the bright warm Mediterranean waters, while others came with victory in mind.

Ibiza has become famous for the association with nightlife and the electronic music that began on the island.

The island drop shortly into the hands of the Vandals, and later the Byzantines, before being governed for many centuries by the Moors who were in turn subdued by the Catalans in 1235.

Ibiza was a gathering spot for the Saracen ships which destroyed the Mediterranean Sea, secured by the Turkish fleet.

Ibiza is the dwelling of the recognized harbor in Ibiza Town, a famous spot for a lot of travelers and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Weather and Temperature

The summer weather of Ibiza normally ranges in the higher 20s °C (70s-80s °F), frequently stretching 30.0 °C (86 °F), with overnight lows below 22.2 °C (72 °F).

The winter, off-season temperature reaches lows of 8.1–14.2 °C (46.6–57.6 °F), with highs in the upper-teens °C (60s °F).

Everyday high temperatures for the month start at 29°C and lingers to decline until they reach 25°C by September 30, only surpassing 31°C or dropping below 23°C one day out of every ten.

Daily low temperatures follow the same style, beginning off at 22°C at the start of the month and gradually falling until they reach 18°C in the closing few days.

Daily low temperatures only exceed 24°C or drop below 18°C one day out of every ten.

Must see and visit

Cala Bassa - Cala Bassa is located at the west of San Antonio bay. The beach can be reached by bus or by boat from San Antonio. Cala Bassa is situated in a desert area, you will not see any buildings from the beach.

Calla Vadella - Cala Vadella will gives you its emerald water and it 250 meters of pure white sand.

Santa Eulalia - the third biggest town in Ibiza, is famous with families and couples that want more of a calming holiday. There are abundance of bars, cafes and restaurants as well, but no big clubs.

Cala d’Hort - one of the local’s favored beaches on the southern tip of the island. This is also one of the most magnetic (literally) points on the planet.

Es Vedra - It is apparently the tip of the submerged city of Atlantis, was the island home of Homer’s wailing sirens, and is the place of many UFO sightings in Ibiza.

Cala Conta - The beach can be reached by bus or by boat from San Antonio. Cala Conta is situated in a desert area. You have to use stairs to reach the beach.
