Costa Rica is not the world’s biggest country, but is dubbed as the world’s happiest country. In 1502 Christopher Columbus named the country as “rich coast” and indeed it is. It may look small but Costa Rica has hidden, mysterious cloud forests, quiet beaches, green landscapes, red volcanic flames and extraordinary wildlife.
The country has about five percent of the world’s biodiversity, 200 volcanic formations, 800 miles of coastline and numerous national parks that are remarkable and historical. The country has earned its name as “the world’s happiest country” because of the abundant natural beauty and great experience that has to offer to the visitors, tourists and local residents.
