Lotte World or the “Magic Island” is one of the largest indoor theme parks and entertainment venues in the world. It was opened on July 12, 1989 in South Korea and it is also considered as one of the most world-class theme parks in Asia.

It welcomes over 8 million visitors every year and about 10% of the visitors are foreigners. The structure inside makes use of the natural sunlight, and it is open for visitors all year round, regardless of the weather.

Lotte world has some of the most amazing attractions from a gigantic indoor ice skating ring with an indoor and outdoor rollercoaster rides, artificial island inside a lake linked by monorail, shopping malls, a luxury hotel, a Korean folk museum, sports facilities, and movie theaters to a massive fairytale castle in the courtyard.

This place will surely mesmerize you and will have an impressive sight before your eyes.

Location

Lotte World is Located in the capital of South Korea, Seoul. It is in the heart of the city. It is the perfect spot for entertainment and sightseeing.

It is a theme park filled with thrilling rides, an ice rink, different kinds of parades as well as a folk museum, a lake, and much more.

Climate

South Korea has 4 beautiful seasons. South Korea has a continental climate characterized by very cold, dry winters and very hot, humid summers.

Spring and autumn are relatively short and temperatures are mild it occurs in late March and early April and generally quite pleasant making these the most comfortable seasons to visit South Korea and of course the Lotte World.

Transportation

Lotte World is directly connected and just outside the Exit number 4 at Jamsil Station, on Line 2 and Line 8 of the Seoul Metropolitan Subway and SMRT. It is very accessible and lesser time needed to travel.

Upon getting off to Jamsil Station there will be lots of signage and directions leading you to the theme park, just follow it and you would be able to get to the ticketing/ entrance of the theme park.

What to See

Bungee Drop

This is a shot tower, and different from others. It’s a Thrill of sudden fall from a height of 38m at the speed of 90km/h. One more just when you feel relieved because you think it’s over.

Bungee will repeat for 30 seconds. You can enjoy different pleasures according to your seat whether it is facing east, west, south, or north. In this ride you can also enjoy the fine view of Seokchon Lake.

French Revolution

It is a fast-speed rollercoaster. It’s a beautiful coaster and the loops and drops are thrilling it rotates 360 degrees and even up to 540 degrees in some parts.

The roller coaster goes through buildings and is indoors, so there is always a near-miss crash feeling.

Giant Loop

This ride will flip in the air along with the outside world. Enjoy the thrill of 360-degree rotation, running the circular loop with diameter of 14m. The best part is at the top of the loop, dangling upside down.

Riders get scared, but watchers are enjoying. Don’t miss the fun of watching riders dangling upside down and trembling with fear.

Gyro Drop

This ride is a thrill of nose-diving, starting from a height where it almost touches the sky. It is the first ride in Korea for high-altitude, free-fall experience.

You will experience the breathless fear of zero gravity for 2 seconds at the moment of falling. You never know when you will fall.
