Tiny as it can seem compared to the giants like of US, Canada and China, do not underestimate the underlying beauty and scenic spots found on this little territory.

Location

The country is composed of two islands from which its name was derived. St Kitts is bigger measuring 180 square kilometers while Nevis has the size of 93 square kilometers.

Both islands are composed of volcanic components. Their characteristics possess those of volcanic properties. Both forms the Caribbean Tectonic Plate that forms the eastern boundary.

Climate

Due to its location, St Kitts and Nevis has tropical climate. It’s humid and hot most of the time. 

Summer happens between June and October while more rainfall occurs on the months of July till November.

These are also the months when the country experiences most tropical storms and hurricanes. 

Driest would between February and April.

Direct flights from San Juan, Puerto Rico, Tortola and Miami are available especially during peak season. Travelers from Britain can book a flight through British Airways while those who will come from Canada can get a straight flight from Toronto.

Just be aware that some countries require a VISA. Make sure to be aware about the list to lessen the hassle and inconvenience.

Inside the country, tourists can roam around through railways and buses as a common mode of transportation.

This mountain is also called MT. Misery. Contrary to what it was formerly called, this scenic volcano view is pristine. Its shape is perfectly coned with greeneries and different plants adorning its magnificence around.

Black Rocks

This is a remarkable rock formation located in St Kitts. These rocks are situated right before the shorelines which made their fusion with the seas more dramatic and unique.

These rocks were the byproduct of lava flow from Mount Liamuiga which transpired million years ago.

Independence Square

Get engaged with the country’s history by paying a visit to one of their historical landmarks. Independence Square was called as such after the country obtained their independence back in 1883.

Old buildings and cathedrals can also be found around this iconic place. Make sure to have your feet ready and prepare your eyes to feat on the culture being presented by architectures found in this part of St Kitts.
